What this website is, what it is not, and what to do in an emergency.

In an emergency

This website, its links, and the practice’s social media accounts are not monitored for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, including chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden severe weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, a suspected fracture or dislocation, or a head injury, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately.

General information only

Everything on this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It describes the practice and the kinds of care Dr. Amy Driessen, PT, DPT, CSCS provides. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual.

No therapist-patient relationship

Reading this website, following its links, sending a message through a social media account, or requesting an appointment does not create a therapist-patient relationship. That relationship begins only when you are formally accepted as a patient of the practice and care actually starts.

Get evaluated before you act on anything

No description of a condition, an approach, or an exercise on this website should be used as a substitute for evaluation by a qualified professional who has examined you. Symptoms that look alike can have very different causes, and the right course of action depends on findings this website cannot have.

Do not disregard, avoid, or delay professional advice because of something you read here. If you are already under the care of another provider, discuss changes with them.

Results vary

Physical therapy outcomes depend on the person, the problem, how long it has been present, the wider medical picture, and how the plan is followed. Nothing on this website is a promise, prediction, or guarantee of any particular result, timeline, or return to any activity or sport.

Scope of practice

Dr. Amy Driessen, PT, DPT, CSCS, CDNS, is a licensed physical therapist and holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She is not a medical doctor. Physical therapy has a defined scope; where a problem falls outside it, she will say so and help you find appropriate care. Virginia law also requires a physical therapist to refer a patient to a licensed practitioner where the patient’s condition is beyond the scope of physical therapy practice.

Legal and regulatory statements

References on this website to Virginia’s direct access provisions describe the law in general terms so that prospective patients understand the landscape. They are not legal advice, not a determination about your circumstances, and not a statement about what your insurance plan requires. Confirm the specifics with the practice and with your plan.

External links

This website links to services operated by other organisations, including the booking platform, Instagram, and mapping services. Those links are provided for convenience. The practice does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

Prior affiliations

Precision Performance Physio, LLC is an independent practice. Any organisation Amy has previously been employed by or trained with is mentioned, where it is mentioned at all, only as biographical background. No current affiliation, endorsement, partnership, or sponsorship by any such organisation is claimed or implied.
